Cambridge Assessment IGCSE Global Perspectives

Face to Faith can count towards Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives, as the 'project' component.

Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives is a unique qualification that* develops skills young people need in the 21st century - how to collaborate with people across different cultures and geographies, how to see connections between different people and different areas of knowledge, how to investigate something new, how to work with other people to get things done.

International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme

The International Baccalaureate (IB) community now includes more than 2370 schools, 644,000 students, teachers, parents, staff and examiners and other colleagues in 128 countries. In an effort to strengthen this large and growing community and the IB mission, the IB has initiated an exciting new project— the IB community theme. The idea of a community theme is to serve as a focus for the IB and IB World Schools, to capture the excellent social action initiatives that are already underway in many schools and encourage and inspire new activities, in and out of the classroom. Through the Face to Faith online community and video-conferencing network, schools find partner schools from around the world to discuss global issues with through different faith and cultural lenses. Students are strongly encouraged to develop possible collaborative social action projects within their own community and/or across the wider global community based on the global issue they have had dialogue on. Teachers at The International Academy, Amman (IAA), Jordan are currently piloting the use of Face to Faith in addressing wider curricula criteria for the IB Middle Years Programme. A report summarising how Face to Faith may be used by successfully by IB Middle Years schools will be published next year.
