  • 23 Face to Faith schools honoured in awards ceremony for World Religion Day

    The Bahá'í House in India recently hosted the first-ever Face to Faith Award Ceremony in India for World Religion Day, which is celebrated across the world to promote understanding between the followers of all religions and faiths. The ceremony honoured 23 Face to Faith schools from across India.

  • Muslim and Christian students in the Philippines help build peace

    Against the backdrop of the recent release of the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro, Muslim and Christian students from Mindanao and Manila took part in an historic moment as they came together for the first time to discuss ways to move the peace agenda forward and bridge the divide between the two faiths. Nine schools across the Philippines connected via video- conference to discuss peace building between the two faith communities, as part of our global education programme, Face to Faith.   • Going door to door to reach one million

    We are delighted to report that, through our malaria prevention work in Sierra Leone, we have now reached over one million people with live-saving messages on how to protect themselves from this deadly disease. Since September 2011, we have empowered Muslim and Christian faith communities to work together to fight malaria in Sierra Leone.

  • Annual accounts and Trustees’ report 2012

    The latest annual accounts and Trustees’ report (year ended 30 April 2012) for the Tony Blair Faith Foundation have been submitted to Companies House and are published on this website today. The accounts relate to the income and operating costs of the charity. They have been produced in line with the relevant charity laws and have been fully audited independently. They are for the UK arm of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation; the Tony Blair Faith Foundation US will publish separately. The reporting period has seen a significant expansion of project spending; up by just under £1m.

  • Celebrating United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week

    In order to celebrate and participate in the annual United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week, we are holding competitions in both our high school and universities programmes. We are inviting student blog entries on the theme of “My Friend of a Different Faith,” and giving students the opportunity to have their work featured on the Huffington Post. Last year, our innovative schools programme Face to Faith, which connects children around the world through moderated video conferences, ran this blog competition.

  • The unhurt locker

      Tea and biscuits are not always the setting for interfaith encounters. It was 9pm on Burns Night and not only Scots were off the street. The wind down the Mile End Road could have been used to train Arctic explorers. Stepney Green underground station in the east end of London looked a welcoming haven. But this was the Hammersmith and City Line from Barking. It passed well away from the Olympic village and had not benefitted from any Olympic upgrade. In truth, Stepney Green station had not benefitted from anything much since the Blitz.
