Much to talk about as Face to Faith co-ordinators gathered in London

We’ve just had the most amazing few days, working with our country coordinators from around the world – a fabulously energizing group of people whose enthusiasm for the programme is driving it forward in a number of regions. It was great to bring together all the people that I had been working with at the training events around the world, and see them working together so well as such a close, dedicated team – as several of them commented, it was almost like a “Face to Faith Family”.
While the programme is moving at different speeds in different countries, as we move to address the individual requirements of the separate education systems – everyone had successes to share, triumphs to celebrate, and, most encouragingly, a shared vision of how to move the programme forward.
Regular readers of these blogs will be familiar with some of the successes – the Videoconferences that have occurred, but there is also a great deal of other wonderful work happening that may be “off the radar” – and whether that is helping a school to get the IT provision right for their students, getting permission from their local authorities to begin to work with the course, or getting parents together to explore the implications of the programme, it was positively humbling to see the amount of activity that is going on.
Out of what seemed to be a great , amorphous cloud of different ideas, projects, demands and pressures, the coordinators were able to crystallize a sharp, focussed vision of the ways that we will be able to work together to take the programme forward in the future. These have been exciting times, but I think that the best is yet to come.
